Bringing Back the Heart of SigEp at NIU
Illinois Epsilon’s Legacy is Being Rewritten—Right Now. Will You Be Part of It?
In 1969, Sigma Phi Epsilon – Illinois Epsilon was founded at Northern Illinois University, quickly becoming a powerhouse in academics, athletics, philanthropy, and brotherhood.
In 2007, the lights went out.
In 2024, we flipped the switch back on.
Thanks to a passionate alumni network and a bold vision, SigEp is back—stronger, smarter, and more committed than ever before to building Balanced Men and leaving a lasting legacy.
We’ve secured our new home at 920 Hillcrest Drive.
We’ve launched our leadership-based, no-pledging, no-hazing Balanced Man Program.
We’ve recruited exceptional new undergraduates.
We’ve ignited a fire of momentum that’s impossible to ignore.
But we’re not done. Not even close.

Why We Need You
Renovation Phase 1 is nearly complete, but to finish what we started, we must fund the next phases—upgrading the facility, awarding scholarships, and building leadership experiences for the next generation of SigEp men.
Our Goal: $275,000
Your support is critical to:
- Complete renovations to 920 Hillcrest Drive
- Fund the Balanced Man Scholarship
- Create leadership and mentorship programs
- Rebuild the heart of Greek Life at NIU

Why Now?
Because this is more than just a house.
It’s a headquarters for brotherhood.
It’s a training ground for tomorrow’s leaders.
It’s a space where values are lived, not preached.
Don’t wait.
Be remembered for what you helped rebuild.
We’re not just bringing back SigEp—we’re bringing back the heart of Greek Row.
